Dress for the Week

This week I decided to do one outfit a day for a full week. I tried to use articles of clothing that I received that day from villagers or other gifts.

August 23rd-August 29th

Sunday

August 23rd, 2020

Another Sunday in August means another fireworks show! It also just so happens to be Nana’s Birthday today! Exciting news all around, although that does mean that poor Nana is stuck indoors not being able to join in with the fireworks festivities. She may not be a permanent resident for Sirenity but I was glad I had her long enough to celebrate her Birthday with her here on the island. Hopefully she doesn’t take it the wrong way but after that she really needs to leave.

I do have to say that ever since the fireworks stuff I find Daisy Mae scarce on my island. Maybe it’s because I’ve been starting my Animal Crossing Day later as I have work in the morning but I haven’t been able to find her what feels like almost the whole month. For once I was kind of in the mood for it too but I wasn’t going to waste hours looking for her, but I did spend more than a half hour scouring my island with high hopes.

Gonna be honest, I don’t really enjoy fireworks that much in real life. Not a huge fan of loud abrupt noises and so that tends to come along with the whole package. So normally when I do have to deal with it, I have to wear headphones and blare my music. Fireworks are always pretty though, no matter how loud and abrupt they may be.

Monday

August 24th, 2020

I gotta say today did not feel like a Monday. The fact that K.K. Slider was in town today definitely didn’t help. With all the commotion of the last few days I barely noticed his absence even though I tried so hard to get him to begin with. There he was, and I am glad he was because honestly he was the only highlight of the day.

Tuesday

August 25th, 2020

Gullivarrr made an appearance today I didn’t have the time for everyone on the Island to do the whole spiel but I always have an extra moment to do it on my main character, she’s the star of the show after all.

In other news I went on a friendly mission to improve villager relations on my island by helping with a delivery!

Wednesday

August 26th, 2020

Apollo literally makes me the happiest person on the planet, next to Whitney that is, he’s already fitting in quite nicely. I am working hard on making their whole areas like a love nest! I really hope that I can catch them interacting with each other. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter TOO much as I can just hop over to Harvey’s and make it happen!

With Whitney still in mind, she decided that she wants to give me a new nickname that I really hope never catches on, Swanky.

For some reason I am always compelled to say yes, maybe it’s because I hardly had any nicknames in my childhood, didn’t get any until I made some interesting friends in highschool.

Thursday

August 27th, 2020

It seems that these days Gullivarrr and Gulliver come hand in hand. I don’t think I have had a single week where if I saw one I didn’t see the other soon after. So of course today was Gulliver’s turn to stop on by.

He’s so peaceful when he’s sleeping.

Friday

August 28th, 2020

Label was in town today, I won’t be showing off the outfit I chose though since I plan to feature it in my next Look Book that I’m just finishing up. But I was able to get I nice new Labelle hat out of it!

Saturday

August 29th, 2020

I SAW THEM FISHING TOGETHER OMG!!! This was literally the highlight of my whole week! It was the heart pond and everything! With that little side glance from Whitney I couldn’t help but snap a picture of this literally perfect moment.

And as if the mood couldn’t be anymore set for the lovebirds K.K. Slider’s song for the night, may not have been Love Song, but it was K.K. Soul. I perfect way to end the night with these soul mates! I can’t wait to see what more I can get from my island as well as these two lovebirds!

August 16th – August 22nd

Sunday

August 16th, 2020

A start of a new week once again in Sirenity, it’s definitely going to be a short post for this week as I did take a short break from the blog so I have less content. It was nice to take a little time to divert my focus though! As of this week I only need two more villagers to complete my island! Tia and Margie! (Tia is on her way via mail, but I won’t be able to get her until almost October) So now is a decent time to start working on the project I wanted to do from the very start. So the format for the blog is going to change a little bit. Mostly just having less of a deadline for certain things so that I don’t feel so rushed and can work on the extra stuff without stressing about what I NEED to be doing.

On another note it was a fireworks day once again!

I haven’t figured out if there is something super special you can get from Redd so feel free to let me know if there is. I find I keep winning the same stuff I’ve already gotten before, and yeah I liked the balloons but other than that everything is kind of a one off. I thought there would be like firework inspired furniture or something not just a bunch of knick-knacks, this is Redd though his whole character is basically about being unreliable.

Honestly my favourite thing about the fireworks is how the villagers react to it. I’ve never seen them so full of emotions!

Monday

August 17th, 2020

TODAY WAS THE BIGGEST DAY. The happiest day in Sirenity as I journeyed off to Beacon to finally recruit Apollo!

Oh man I must have been jumping in my seat while I was recruiting him. I was really wishing I had learned some sort of heart reaction (I still have some to unlock but for some reason they never teach me new reactions anymore). Either way he is on his way and I am literally overjoyed! I’ve had his area on my island mapped out and decorated for awhile now. Right next door to the wondrous Whitney!

In some less exciting news Flick was in town!

Tuesday

August 18th, 2020

Honestly I love Apollo, everything about him. He’s so cool! Even the outside and inside of his house are cool! I can’t wait to start working on His and Whitney’s side romance for my story!

Saharah was also in town selling her infamous rugs!

Wednesday

August 19th, 2020

A wild campsite visitor appears! Dizzy was in my camp today, super cute but not Margie or Tia. I tend to like the Elephant villagers and wolf villagers the most.

Then of course there was Leif. Who I really don’t need anymore in fact my island is still overrun with flowers!

Thursday

August 20, 2020

This is another one of those days where I did jump on the game but didn’t end up getting any photo content. C.J. was in town, but I wasn’t feeling too great today (even left work early). Although after a good long nap I felt a decent amount better I still didn’t have the energy to do more in the game. I am pretty positive that I may have just had far too many work tacos~

Friday

August 21, 2020

Look at this interior design like you are too cool Apollo! So sophisticated!

Redd’s Treasure Trawler was in town for the first time in what feels like years. He really needs to be a once a week thing. It’s going to take me real life years to get all these art pieces otherwise. Especially when he can show up with all fakes.

Saturday

August 22nd, 2020

Today was the 3rd annual Bug Off for Sirenity! I didn’t want to spend too much time in game today because I wanted to make sure I was fully rested to go back to work tomorrow. But I did jump on all my characters and at least did the one free round of the Bug Off to get the Nook Mile Achievement out of the way at least.

That’s it for another week in Sirenity! Normally this is where I would post the schedule for posts for the week but I won’t be doing that anymore (at least while I still work my real world job) having the deadlines are more stress then they are worth. Be prepared for some new stuff coming your way though because that means I might post stuff earlier than I normally would as well! I’m hoping to at least have a rough draft of the first “Chapter” or two, of the AC story I want to create, done by the end of September! So that the moment I have all the characters I need I can start staging! Feel free to like, comment, share, whatever you can to spread the blog or help me make improvements!

Taking a Break

This week’s tidbit is a short but important one!

Now for me I definitely don’t mean taking a break from the game but at least I will be taking a break from the blog. Just for this week! Sometimes you need to just take breather and look at what you are doing from another perspective.

Some things you can do to still fulfill your Animal Crossing needs, if you also need a break are:

+ Watch some inspirational videos to get new island ideas

+ Try to obtain more knowledge about tips and tricks you can find in the game

+ Enjoy a stream on YouTube or Twitch (I highly recommend NintenTalk if you don’t already watch his videos)

+ Make a plan! (For me specifically I want to take this break to work on my story for Sirenity!)

At the end of the day the important thing is that you are supposed to enjoy the game! Sometimes that means you have to take a break and come back to fully appreciate it again!

Hopefully this tidbit is helpful and if you have any ideas for future Tidbits feel free to leave a comment! (Like seriously anyone feel free to comment)

And please note that this means there will be no look book tomorrow!

August 9th-August 15th

Sunday

August 9th, 2020

Another day, and another new week in Animal Crossing. This was actually the first day I time travelled since starting the game on May 4th. In an attempt to get lucky to move to where he belongs. This ended up being a huge waste of time as I spent several hours trying to get him to move out and he just didn’t want to. The RNG is pretty bad for the moving out the more I have to deal with it, I would have the same villagers asking to move over and over again despite every effort I made. Out of 10 villagers after all the time I spent it basically only cycled through five of them consistently I got two other ones once and I had three villagers that didn’t show up single time. Doesn’t seem very RNG if there is a consistency to it, but that’s just my opinion. Plus after all that when I gave up and went back to real time I had a lot of cleaning up on my Island to do. Roaches and weeds, as well as the over run of flowers made it more work than at least this time was even worth.

Today there was more fireworks once again but I honestly didn’t stay online long enough to see them as I was pretty drained from all the time travelling I had done all day. It did not feel like a productive day to say the least.

Monday

August 10th, 2020

My evening on Sirenity started with a very short adventure to return a lost item. An item that belonged to Robin, who was literally standing like two feet from said lost item.

Either way I was glad to help her out. After that I scoured the Island to see who my visitor was and I found C.J. out and about.

I completed his Seaports challenge with my usual ease and requested a boring old Sea Bass for my sculpture this week. It was definitely a great way to end the night.

Tuesday

August 11th, 2020

I didn’t have a whole lot of energy by the end of the day when I finally had the time to jump on the game, but I did manage to pay a short visit to our friendly neighborhood Saharah.

She definitely makes a decent living just coming to my island alone always buying all her wares.

Wednesday

August 12th, 2020

Gulliver paid the island a visit today and I of course helped him be on his way back out. I’ve been decent at remembering to deal with him on all my available characters so I can get the most out of his visits.

Also while hunting for Scallops I managed to get Pascal to gift me the final piece I was missing of the Mermaid sets. The Mermaid Crown was the last Mermaid thing I had left to collect so I have all the DIYs as well as one of each of the clothing items and their variations!

This was definitely an exciting moment for me! Now I just got to try and finish getting my hands on all the Shell and Pirate stuff as well.

Thursday

August 13th, 2020

Today I found the time to head to my very first Dream Suite, I won’t dive too much into as I did already post about my experience.

I had both Kicks and Celeste visiting my Island today too! If that wasn’t eventful enough I even experienced my first WTH moment in Animal Crossing when I literally lost my favourite pink balloon that I had gotten from my first fireworks show.

I was literally minding my own business and then BOOM I fall flat on my face and bye bye balloon. I was both extremely confused and upset as I had no idea this could happen! Thankfully a friend had a spare pink one they could give me to replace it, I’m definitely being much more careful with my balloons in the future.

Friday

August 14th, 2020

I did hop over to do a few more Dream suites today to go along with that post that I did. But the highlight was finally having a Real Time opportunity to get Lucky moved out and off to his new home. Although the camper in my campsite wasn’t ideal. It was definitely someone I didn’t mind temporarily putting up with. So Welcome to Sirenity Pierce!

The day wouldn’t have been complete without a visit from our favourite reptile Flick!

I made my model request and called it a night.

Saturday

August 15th, 2020

I spent a lot of the day time travelling again, with the goal in mind to get Rasher to specifically move out so that I can grab the lovely Apollo from my friend. I would have also accepted Nana or Pierce leaving the Island but Rasher is the most Ideal given his house location. After about 5 hours of time travelling I did manage to get him to agree to move out. I am just praying I did it all properly, if I did though, I will have Apollo by Monday! I am SO EXCITED!!

After all that was done I went back to real time and cleaned up my Island. I managed to finally collect all the resources I needed to build the Robot hero I had been saving pieces for to display in my Drive in Theatre.

After crafting and placing it I really just picked out a cute outfit and called it a night, I didn’t even have the energy to go and pay a visit to K.K. Slider.

Suite Dreams~

So after the release of Luna and the Dream Suites I finally managed to get the time to actually head out to a couple islands to finally check it out. Before I get started on the Island I have a couple of helpful links to share!

The first link I want to share is just a little informational video about the second link and tool that I will also be sharing. This is all about a Dream Suite code randomizer for those (like myself) who are having a hard time find new Dream Suite Islands to go and visit. So the video link is here. Then the second link I have for you is obviously the Random Dream Code Tool website, which is very fun and simple to use, I used it for two out of the three Islands I will be talking about today! That link is right here.

The First Dream

Island Name: Nebelfeld
Dream Suite Code: 4111-4893-0029
Map:

Flag: (I didn’t get a good picture of this flag because I didn’t think to do it until my next Island but you can still kind of see it here)

Exploring the Island:

I thought this Island was actually super cute and I found a few things that I hadn’t seen in game yet that I now will be trying avidly to find. I do wish that I could’ve found a ladder or vaulting pole though as there were some areas that I was unable to reach without them. Overall I think it was a lovely Island for my first visit! My favourite area on this Island definitely had to be the picnic beach area it was adorable and I actually hadn’t seen that picnic stuff before!

The Second Dream: A Friendly Return

Island Name: Spirit
Dream Suite Code: 3922-0290-4105
