Sirenity: Newsletter

August 9th-August 15th

August 9th, 2020

Another day, and another new week in Animal Crossing. This was actually the first day I time travelled since starting the game on May 4th. In an attempt to get lucky to move to where he belongs. This ended up being a huge waste of time as I spent several hours trying to get him to move out and he just didn’t want to. The RNG is pretty bad for the moving out the more I have to deal with it, I would have the same villagers asking to move over and over again despite every effort I made. Out of 10 villagers after all the time I spent it basically only cycled through five of them consistently I got two other ones once and I had three villagers that didn’t show up single time. Doesn’t seem very RNG if there is a consistency to it, but that’s just my opinion. Plus after all that when I gave up and went back to real time I had a lot of cleaning up on my Island to do. Roaches and weeds, as well as the over run of flowers made it more work than at least this time was even worth.

Today there was more fireworks once again but I honestly didn’t stay online long enough to see them as I was pretty drained from all the time travelling I had done all day. It did not feel like a productive day to say the least.

August 10th, 2020

My evening on Sirenity started with a very short adventure to return a lost item. An item that belonged to Robin, who was literally standing like two feet from said lost item.

Either way I was glad to help her out. After that I scoured the Island to see who my visitor was and I found C.J. out and about.

I completed his Seaports challenge with my usual ease and requested a boring old Sea Bass for my sculpture this week. It was definitely a great way to end the night.

August 11th, 2020

I didn’t have a whole lot of energy by the end of the day when I finally had the time to jump on the game, but I did manage to pay a short visit to our friendly neighborhood Saharah.

She definitely makes a decent living just coming to my island alone always buying all her wares.

August 12th, 2020

Gulliver paid the island a visit today and I of course helped him be on his way back out. I’ve been decent at remembering to deal with him on all my available characters so I can get the most out of his visits.

Also while hunting for Scallops I managed to get Pascal to gift me the final piece I was missing of the Mermaid sets. The Mermaid Crown was the last Mermaid thing I had left to collect so I have all the DIYs as well as one of each of the clothing items and their variations!

This was definitely an exciting moment for me! Now I just got to try and finish getting my hands on all the Shell and Pirate stuff as well.

August 13th, 2020

Today I found the time to head to my very first Dream Suite, I won’t dive too much into as I did already post about my experience.

I had both Kicks and Celeste visiting my Island today too! If that wasn’t eventful enough I even experienced my first WTH moment in Animal Crossing when I literally lost my favourite pink balloon that I had gotten from my first fireworks show.

I was literally minding my own business and then BOOM I fall flat on my face and bye bye balloon. I was both extremely confused and upset as I had no idea this could happen! Thankfully a friend had a spare pink one they could give me to replace it, I’m definitely being much more careful with my balloons in the future.

August 14th, 2020

I did hop over to do a few more Dream suites today to go along with that post that I did. But the highlight was finally having a Real Time opportunity to get Lucky moved out and off to his new home. Although the camper in my campsite wasn’t ideal. It was definitely someone I didn’t mind temporarily putting up with. So Welcome to Sirenity Pierce!

The day wouldn’t have been complete without a visit from our favourite reptile Flick!

I made my model request and called it a night.

August 15th, 2020

I spent a lot of the day time travelling again, with the goal in mind to get Rasher to specifically move out so that I can grab the lovely Apollo from my friend. I would have also accepted Nana or Pierce leaving the Island but Rasher is the most Ideal given his house location. After about 5 hours of time travelling I did manage to get him to agree to move out. I am just praying I did it all properly, if I did though, I will have Apollo by Monday! I am SO EXCITED!!

After all that was done I went back to real time and cleaned up my Island. I managed to finally collect all the resources I needed to build the Robot hero I had been saving pieces for to display in my Drive in Theatre.

After crafting and placing it I really just picked out a cute outfit and called it a night, I didn’t even have the energy to go and pay a visit to K.K. Slider.

Look Book

Dress Your Villagers

The one thing I love about Harvey’s Island is all the stuff you can put your villager’s in! Want to gift them some clothes but afraid it might not look as good as you think? Check them out at Harvey’s First! I did one look for each of my Villagers, all outfits that I just thought flattered/suited the Villagers.

Turns out Lucky looks looks real snazzy in a leather jacket!

I originally wanted to throw her in something a little darker but Mathilda actually looked a lot better in this lighter classier outfit!

Fun Fact! I actually put this dress on Whitney solely because it reminded me of one of the outfits she wears in the Animal Crossing Movie!

I tried to give Robin more of a ‘Starving Artist’ look and I think she pulls it off really well!

This was supposed to be a simple sailor look but it actually really reminds me of the Ice Cream Shoppe Uniforms from Stranger Things! Either way Ketchup is adorable.

I gave Ellie this really elegant Queen look and man it suits her so well. She is definitely rocking it!

Despite what I see as a very rebellious nature for Renée I actually found that this Homebody look suited her more nicely than anything else I really had.

I was pleasantly surprised that Reneigh was so well suited to one of my favourite witchy outfits! I’d start a coven with her any day!

Just because I am very ready for Nana to leave my Island, she’s been here forever and unfortunately doesn’t make my final cut. I was still able to find a nice soft outfit that suited her! (I am thinking about actually gifting her one of these sweaters before she leaves now since it suits her so well).

Old man Rasher, another Villager I am very ready to leave. As I wasn’t even the one to invite him he just showed up. He hasn’t been terrible for my Island but he is definitely not my style. I did throw him into something I figured was more his style and it definitely suited him well. A nice sporty look!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s look book! If you have any ideas for themes for other Look Books feel free to leave a comment! All suggestions are welcome!

Sirenity: Newsletter

August 2nd – August 8th

August 2nd, 2020

This week really starts off with a bang with our very first Fireworks show! Before we get to that though, it was also the day I spent going to 103 Islands in search of Apollo, Tia, or Margie to replace Peggy. If you read the post you will know I didn’t go home with any of them.

Even though I even saved the free Nook Mile Tickets for Winter and Milo specifically so that I would have an extra bonus when looking but I still got nothing! So I’ll find out tomorrow what Random villager ends up in her place.

Anyways back to the fireworks, I had a lot of fun putting in custom designs for the show. Especially since I had images of all the villagers I want/have that made it perfect. I also made a few up specifically for the show (a mermaid and a clam shell that fit well with Sirenity’s theme).

Overall it was a great time just seeing the villagers reacting to everything and having a good time! I can’t wait for the next show!

August 3rd, 2020

The first thing I did when I woke up was check to see who was going to be invading my town for a little while. I was Lucky enough to get Lucky!! I actually really enjoy Lucky but as much as I like him I don’t have room for him to stay permanently on my Island. Ideally I’d love to have him for whenever I get/start Sirenity South but I also have a friend who wants him so for now this Lucky will go to them. (Turns out it’ll be a trade for Apollo though!!!!!)

Flick was also in town today thankfully I was prepared for once and immediately handed over my Alexandria Butterflies so that he could make me that beautiful model!

August 4th, 2020

Welcome to Sirenity, Lucky! You will only be here a short while but we will definitely enjoy every minute of it.

Also fun fact Lucky also informed me that he is originally from my friend’s island Beacon! I thought that was a fun thought!

I also managed to lend a helping hand to Ellie today, she wanted to improve her friendship with Whitney (like who wouldn’t?) and I was just the gal for the job!

Gullivarrr was also in town today, I love that I am seeing this beaked fellow a lot more often, him or his lesser counterpart. Both Gulliver and Gullivarrr talk about having a full crew I always wondered who, and what, kind of animals were always taking care of these goons. It would be really cool to see something for it in the future!

August 5th, 2020

I couldn’t miss an opportunity to visit our newest villager again he is literally so creepy, which to me translates as absolutely adorable!

Leif was also in town today, though I didn’t play a whole lot as work is a thing I do outside of the blog. But we did have a little chat after I checked on my Island before I went to bed.

August 6th, 2020

I had absolutely zero interest in today’s Campsite visitor. Not my type in the slightest. Thankfully my friend wasn’t quite ready for Lucky’s arrival yet so I didn’t have to force this guy in to get Lucky to his rightful owner.

I spent some time with C.J. today as he was hanging around my Island. Finished his seaports challenge like it was nothing, but it was of course still ridiculously fun.

August 7th, 2020

I find it amazing that so far every time I’ve had a week with Gullivarrr, I will also get Gulliver in that week. I don’t know if this will always be the case but that’s my experience with it so far, and I am by no means complaining. I almost always forget to jump on all my other characters to help him out though. I would probably have a lot more cool Gulliver/Gullivarrr items if I did. I’m pretty sure I’ve only remembered to do it once since I’ve started playing.

August 8th, 2020

I swear I played today, I even have pictures but all the pictures I managed to get will be needed elsewhere. Not that I can’t post the same image more than once, but the ones that I got would be spoiling future stuff. I managed to finally catch my Villagers talking to each other again, it honestly has been weeks! To the point where I actually ran out of story times. Even though I managed to get one new story time I’m still holding off at least this week maybe more until I can build up a little bit of a collection again. Or if I can fast track getting my Island complete (just need 3 villagers) I can start working on my own story times. Which brings me to my final thought for the day.

I plan to start time travelling, probably starting tomorrow. I feel at this point I’ve done all the major game stuff without doing it and now it’s just about experiencing the fun. Plus the fact that gives me the opportunity to hopefully get my Island done quicker so I can start what I want to do. I want it noted that I went from May 4th, 2020 the day I first opened the game, all the way to August 9th, 2020 before time travelling for the first time! Hopefully you guys don’t hate me for this but I do feel it will be better for the content I want to create in the long run.
