July 12th-July 18th

Sunday

July 12th, 2020

I started the day pretty aggravated with Pascal once again, I had jumped onto Milo’s character to go Scallop hunting and not only did Pascal not show up for the first Scallop of the day, but didn’t show up for the second one either.

It was very hard to keep motivation up for the day when I keep having such a hard time just getting Pascal to show his face. The only plus for the day was that on my regular character Thirteen, I got an S Ranking house (Only the Silver trophy but still!)

My house is far from complete in my eyes though, I still have the upstairs, the downstairs to do up entirely. Plus I want a little more going on in the bathroom I have done up so far. Once it’s done though I will definitely get some photos/videos to share with everyone!

Monday

July 13th, 2020

Leif was in town today, he was super important in the completion of my Island Maze that now is fully completed!

I had a little bit of a hard time dealing with a lost item today. It was the first time I ever really had this issue as before when I was still off work I wouldn’t play as early in the morning as I have been. But I actually had to jump on during one of my breaks at work to be able to complete it as Rasher, the item owner, couldn’t get himself out of bed before I had to leave for work in the morning.

Thankfully I have the Switch Lite, so I had no issues locking it up at work to come back to on my break. Still it was a little more hassle this time around than it has been in the past.

And then it was also very concerning seeing Rasher’s weird grin just peering at me after we had finished our business. He gets creepier the longer I have him on my island. At the end of the day he’s just an Old Grump that I hope finds a better home soon.

I am still working hard trying to deal with the Pascal nonsense, it’s just exhausting to even write about at this point. Just assume it got done with a lot of issues. -_-

Tuesday

July 14th, 2020

Today’s letter from Nana I felt on a deep personal level. Ever since going back to work, even when I try to sleep in on my days off, I’m still waking up super early just ready to go for the day. I just want to relax in bed and do nothing!

Flick was in town today and due to my lack of preparedness I didn’t even have the time to go hunt for an art project for him. I was pretty disappointed but there wasn’t much I could do about it, just wasn’t in me after a 10 hr work day to go and bug hunt. I will however be taking this as a lesson and work on getting some stored up for Flick and CJs next visits.

In other super exciting news, we are in the process on moving another Dream Team Villager into Sirenity! My friend from Beacon where we sent Marshal, and where I already got Ellie from, managed to get their hands on Whitney for me! That news came with even more excitement when Filbert finally decided that it’s time for him to move on from Sirenity!

Wednesday

July 15th, 2020

Today we finally say goodbye to Filbert, and by ‘we’ I mean just Milo. He was the only one I sent in to say goodbyes. I don’t have anything against Filbert, I just think he’s a little on the boring side. Plus with Whitney on the line, it’s a no-brainer.

Ellie sent me a wonderful gift and letter in the mail. So wonderful that I just had to make sure I fulfilled Ellie’s wishes. I opened the gift and modelled the dress inside in style! She definitely knows the kind of clothes I like!

I got a new nickname today as well, I’m not super fond of it as I was really enjoying being called Chief. Plus the new nickname is really weird. Yet I still accepted it so now half my villagers walk around calling me reverb. Probably the more out there nickname I will have in this game.

I ended my day playing a super quick round of Treasure Hunter with Ketchup!

Thursday

July 16th, 2020

I think Iggly is going to have to leave soon if he can’t get along with the permanent Villagers. It was interesting to see him storm off as Ketchup was just glowing away.

Saharah was here to sell me her wares. I feel like even though I always buy one of everything I hardly have any options for wall and flooring. I need more choices Saharah give me more!

Later on in the day, after I had returned from work, I finally got to head over to Beacon to obtain Whitney!

It only took a bit of talking before I got what I was looking for!

We almost have all the Villagers we need! It gets more and more exciting every time I manage to get a Dream Team Villager to come to the Island. Also, while I was in Beacon I thought I would pay a quick visit to check on our previous resident Marshal, I found it super adorable that he still remembers me.

I was about to call it a night after I had headed back to Sirenity but I found Wisp and figured I had more than enough time to help a ghost out before I go to bed.

I’ve chosen the expensive option only once and it immediately gave me something that I already owned, and so I almost always choose something new with Wisp now. At least I can guarantee that no matter how expensive or cheap the item is it’s something that will expand my catalogue.

Friday

July 17th, 2020

Whitney is officially a Sirenity resident! We are so incredibly happy to have her as part of our Island adventure. Now all I have to do is get her partner Apollo! I can’t wait to see how they interact with each other on an Island together compared to how they were in the movie!

In other news, Label was also in town today. I got a wicked cool new coat from her and I honestly think it’s super snazzy.

Aside from all the secret preparations I made for some Island visitor fun tomorrow, I kept it simple today. A lot of indoor work with our residential Mermaid’s house, as I want it to have a real authentic Mermaid feel. I’ve been crafting up as many Mermaid items as I possibly am I able to. I basically use up all the resources I get in the day to try and get more items in there. I think I’m still missing some shell DIY’s that would go well with the Mermaid theme as well. It’s just about finding everything! Once her house is fully upgraded and done I will probably do a small tour there as well.

Saturday

July 18th, 2020

We have a campsite visitor! I was pleasantly surprised as I’ve been having people over semi frequently and I know that can effect when a camper visits but I got the announcement so I’m not going to complain.

I recognized who it was as soon as I entered the tent, as Julian here is already a resident of my New Leaf town of Gothello. He’s definitely an amazing villager, but as I already technically have him, even if it’s just in New Leaf. I don’t feel the need to obtain him for Sirenity. Or even for Sirenity South for that matter (More news on that at a later date).

Nana was sick, so I had to get on top of that, I went and grabbed her some medicine and got her up and going again. Some of the older villagers that I’ve had since early on Nana included, have gotten a little tiring to interact with, but I am trying to at least be civil. I really just want these guys to move out though so that I can get the big guys I want in here. I am glad that she will be feeling better soon enough though!

Today is also the day I am having people over for a little fun! We are going to have a scavenger hunt, hang out with K.K. Slider, and do a little late night Maze Race. I’ve come to really love how my Island feels at night (aside from diving which at night is surprisingly terrifying). I really hope everyone that comes by has a great time! I will be posting more about what happens tonight on Wednesday, as next week’s Tidbit of the week! So stay tuned for that~

Look Book

Host With The Most

This week’s Look Book was planned based on an event I’m having in Sirenity this coming Saturday July 18th. I’m having people over on the Island Late at Night for some Games and other fun stuff!

Alien Broadcast

The first outfit’s purpose is actually the reason I am having this event at all. I heard about the secret Alien Broadcast that appears on Animal Crossing T.V. at 3:33am, I figured the best way to motivate me to stay awake that late would be to have some people over for some fun! Nothing like sharing the wonders of Animal Crossing with your friends! So my Alien Broadcast outfit consists of: Caterpillar Costume (Rainbow), Frog Cap (Green), Neon Tights (Orange), and Jester’s Shoes (Purple).

Maze Race

One of the fun games I want to play with the visitors that come by is a Maze Race. I’ve spent a couple weeks working on Sirenity’s very own Hedge Maze. I got my stopwatch ready, for a race to see who can get through the Maze the fastest. With prizes for the top 3 times! My Maze Race outfit consists of: Meme Shirt (Purple), Petal Skirt (Purple), Labelle Cap (purple), Octagonal Glasses (Purple), Embroidered-Flower Tights (Purple), and Hi-Tech Sneakers (Pink).

Movie Time

Of course it wouldn’t feel like an Animal Crossing Sleepover without some Movies with friends. I got my Drive-In all set up in Sirenity, and I am hoping to be able to stream the Animal Crossing Movie with all my friends (I have no Idea how yet so hopefully I figure that out by the weekend). I honestly recommend everyone give it a watch if they have the time. It is only available with English Subs, but still worth it for a short film. So my Movie Time outfit consists of: Space Parka (Purple), Denim Pants (Black), Rimmed Glasses (Black), No-Show Socks (White), and Slip-On Loafers (Black).

Scary Stories

Another fun sleepover tradition is of course some scary stories, I plan on sharing a few I know from my childhood, and maybe some others in the group will have ones to share. I love scary stories, the ones that make your hairs stand on end, and bring you to the edge of your seat. So my Scary Stories outfit consists of: Ruffled Dress (Black), Fox Mask (Black), Fishnet Tights (Red), and Mary Janes (Black).

Scavenger Hunt

Another exciting game to play with visitors a Scavenger Hunt with lots of secrets hidden around the island as well as some traps. This is probably where most of the prizes the visitors will go home with will come from. I’ve been collecting all sorts of things that I’m hoping people will enjoy! So my Scavenger Hunt outfit consists: Detective’s Coat (Brown), Tweed Frilly Skirt (Black), Detective Hat (Brown), Browline Glasses (Black), Fishnet Tights (Black), and Lace-Up Boots (Black).

Sleepover

I doubt there will be any actual sleeping during this sleepover, but it still wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t plan a sleepy time outfit to go with it. My Sleepover outfit consists of: Pajama Dress (Blue), Terry-Cloth Nightcap (Pink), Everyday Socks (White), and Slip-On Loafers (Black).

Tarot Reading

I figure we definitely need some Catrina style fortune telling, some horoscopes, some tarot cards. We’ll get some really mystical information about the future of Sirenity’s visitors. So my Tarot Reading outfit consists: Mysterious Dress (Purple), Mage’s Hat (Purple), Rimmed Glasses (Gold), Lace Socks (Black), and Work Boots (Purple).

Welcome To Sirenity

The final Outfit will ironically be the first ones that the visitors will see. This outfit is the opening for the start of hopefully a great night with friends. I am super excited to be hosting, and I am hoping and praying that everything will work out. I really want people to enjoy my Island experience! So my Welcome to Sirenity outfit consists of: Emblem Blazer (Red), Flare Skirt (Black), Heart Hairpin (Pink), Bottom-Rimmed (Red) Simple-Accent Socks (Black), and Rubber-Toe Hightops (Red).

Bye for now~

July 5th-July 11th

Sunday

July 5th, 2020

After a week break from Daisy Mae’s turnips I was missing the fun. Although my own prices have not been that great lately, Daisy Mae was offering up a decent enough price that it was worth another little dip. No more extravagant show off stuff, just good old fashioned turnip market.

I kept it simple and just limited myself to 100 Turnips. I don’t need anymore room being taken up in my house and I am definitely not throwing them on the island while I am still trying to get the perfect island eval.

I was super excited to find that so soon after the Bug Off, I was actually going to get a chance to do my very first Fishing Tourney as well. It’s also even better that I happen to have that day off from work! So there should be zero conflict! I love when things just work out!

Speaking of working out, I feel like my character must be getting super buff from all these water exercises and the heavy underwater lifting. Like that thing is really bigger than my head!

Don’t forget that our amazing new guest Marshal is now officially on the Island. However short it may be Welcome to Sirenity Marshal!

I was lucky enough to have another lost item adventure today! Although I did almost miss it because it was in an area of the Island I haven’t been going to recently. Thankfully I had a visitor (My cousin!) point it out to me while checking out the island!

I am getting pretty good at finding these guys right away, maybe I just keep getting lucky or maybe I am seeing something I don’t even realize I am seeing! Who knows!

I gotta say I am just loving the whole pascal experience, other than the few times I had issues even getting him to show up. I definitely don’t understand all his mechanics but hopefully the more I dive around daily for scallops and whatnot the closer I will be to both; understanding, and unlocking all the Mermaid DIYs.

Monday

July 6th, 2020

Let’s start off by what I did for Sirenity today by adding a new Human to the Island. Milo is our newest resident and will take up the position of permanent camper for the island. I want my island campsite to always have that feeling that it’s useful and what better way then ensuring there is always 1 tent. I will say this idea seemed a lot easier to deal with in my head. The lack of inventory space makes him not so fun to actually run around the island with, however, he is mostly here for aesthetic and will probably only really hold a side role in the main story for the Sirenity. Thankfully, that means I really don’t have to worry too much about him, aside from hopping on to abuse his daily collectibles.

Getting back to more regular programming CJ was in town today, which meant another go at a Seaports Challenge.

Nothing like a fun little fishing run to start off the day, and if I get a little something out of it that’s just another cherry on top. It took me a bit to gather the amount needed to get another art piece to my collection, but I did eventually manage to gather 3 puffer fish to request for my collection!

Marshal is still doing his thing on the island, in fact he’s already showing off his personality. When I was presented with the perfect photo opportunity with Marshal he of course immediately flees the scene like some pop star avoiding the paparazzi. I will get something good out of you yet! And not just your singing!

I eventually spotted a distressed Nana and went to investigate. It was in hopes that she would maybe be asking to move again, as I am ready, so, so, ready, for her to leave. Now I hear that her and Ellie are fighting, which at least Nana was trying to remedy.

Ellie also seemed very gung ho about the apology which was heartwarming to see these two kiddos makeup. It was a great way to end the day as well!

Tuesday

July 7th, 2020

Another day, another new human villager to fill my island to it’s max capacity. Also to introduce the character that will hold probably the most influence over the future story of Sirenity. Winter is our newest recruit, who also happens to be the secret, Island Mermaid. I can’t wait until I get all the other villagers I need to start working on the story. For now I am just going to keep working on the main story.

It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one gets cringy about stuff we used to do when we were younger. I have plenty of memories like those! I definitely want to try drawing this as well (probably in a human form again as I am just not great at the whole animal thing even with references). Don’t know when but expect something inspired by this eventually.

I was really hoping I was going to get pirate Gulliver but no luck for me either way he was here on the island, and I hooked him up with his parts. Even though I really do need them so I can make that Transformer for my Drive-In.

ALSO BIG NEWS BIG NEWS! MARK THIS DAY IN SIRENITY HISTORY! WE ARE OFFICIALLY A 5 STAR ISLAND!

I found out the best way possible. You see I hadn’t been checking in a whole lot with Isabelle as I am actually still in the middle of construction so I still have a little bit more I am adding to the island. When digging for gold I noticed this treasure instead! Lillies-of-the-valley, a well know indicator of a 5 star Island.

I immediately sought out Isabelle to find out the truth. I am proud of all the work I have put into the Island, and I can’t wait until I finish off my current projects so I can have a real final result to share with everyone. I will definitely be attempt to try and put together and Island tour video now that I have accomplished all that I have.

The final project for today was to do one final update of my house exterior (unless they release more options of course), as my character on the Island will be portrayed in the story as a witch. I wanted the final look of her house to reflect that witchy aesthetic. One of the main characters of the story, I had to make sure her house was setup perfectly as it will be a future focal point for a lot of the story I wanna tell for Sirenity.

Wednesday

July 8th, 2020

Finally a visit from Redd to brighten my day! Expanding the museum collection is taking the absolute longest time, but I guess that’s what I signed up for with going for the no time travel route of life. It was nice to seem him and I hope he reappears more in the future.

Who I am really waiting on is Leif, I am just hoping and praying he’ll show up soon because he has the bushes I need to complete my maze! I feel like whenever I need Leif he never shows up, and then the moment I don’t need him anymore there he is with that big ole smile on his face. My fingers are crossed though!

JJI actually got on himself for a whole two seconds to look at the work I had done on the island, he must’ve done it after I had gone to bed for the night. It was a nice wake up call to see that he took some time to at least look around at my efforts!

Also I had been playing around with the pro-design tool as I have never actually made anything using the pro-design tool before even in any of the prior games where it was available (Which I think was just New Leaf). I made a Sirenity inspired dress, and even though I threw some other Sirenity designs up in the Able Sisters. This was the first time I found one of them wearing it! I even found a second villager too!

It’s nice to see them sporting attire that I created myself, gives me a little affirmation that maybe the design didn’t totally suck. Which in my opinion it wasn’t that great, but it was my first try.

Even my villagers are trying to stay cool, dealing with a real life heat wave I was definitely loving the chill vibes my villagers were giving off.

Then there is Pascal. He is becoming more and more trouble than it’s worth. He really hates showing up for my first scallop of the day. Sometimes that’ll be all I can find in 2 hours of diving. No one has the time/energy to be not only diving for a hard to find thing, but also praying that you are lucky enough that he’ll even show his face after all that work.

I found that most of the time when he wasn’t showing up on the first one, I would find another one almost immediately and then he would show. But if that wasn’t the case, I normally can’t find any at all after that. I heard that he is programmed to be slightly random but I think that was horrible design choice. If we want to have the time to do everything one wants to do in a day in Animal Crossing, we need stuff to be working the first time. Not everything should be about just hoping and praying you’ll luck out. This isn’t a gamble game.

Thursday

July 9th, 2020

We welcome Gullivarrr to Sirenity for the first time! I hope to see a lot of him over the summer. I need to get me all of that Pirate Treasure!

There was a campsite visitor today. Which means that even though Marshal has only been on our island for a very short time. It’s time to get down to business and start operation “Move Marshal” so that he can final reach his future home.

Meet Robin! It was a decently difficult process took me longer to replace Marshal than it did to recruit him. Either way I was hard at work making sure that Robin was going to be making the right choice to join me in Marshal’s stead.

When it was all said and done we said our goodbyes to Marshal, and wished him luck on his Journey to his new home in Beacon.

The only other relevant thing that happened today was that I got probably my favourite gift from Pascal. Took a lot of work to get it as he still refuses to be civil with my islanders.

The Mermaid Fishy Dress is definitely going to be put to god use on Sirenity. Mermaids reside in these waters too I am sure.

Friday

July 10th, 2020

As I had a long work day on Friday I didn’t get to do much of anything, but while I was chilling at the end of the night before bed (And watching Hannibal with a friend), I just had my character Thirteen stare up at the stars so I could at least get something out of my day. (Even the friend I was watching with came and star-gazed with me) Also I was super disappointed in Celeste’s DIY, someone please tell me how a lily wand relates to space. Anyone?

Saturday

July 11th, 2020

Finally the day of the Fishing Tourney has arrived! I have been waiting with anticipation all week for this. Especially when I found out I was lucky enough to get the day off work.

Now I am not going to go into too much detail here with everything that happened with Fishing Tourney, but there will be a dedicated post as next week’s Wednesday Tidbit.

Everyone was geared up and ready to get their competition on. I will say that by the end of it all I wasn’t as excited about it as I had been throughout the Bug Off. Catching a fish takes almost 3x as long as it takes to net a bug, and so it made it extremely challenging as well very unsatisfying. Made me feel like no matter how hard I pushed I couldn’t get the kind of points I was consistently getting with the Bug Off.

The only villager who hadn’t been a part of today’s festivities was our newest Islander Robin. I’m not 100% about whether I want to keep her indefinitely or not. I kinda like her though because her hair reminds me of a friend. As long as I can get Apollo, Whitney, and Tia still for my island I’m not too picky about everyone else. (Aside from the other already deemed permanent villagers of course.)

I don’t know if it was just the lack of interest in my blog in the past week, or maybe just being drained from finally going back to work. This week in Animal Crossing felt very exhausting, don’t get me wrong I still had loads of fun. But especially with all the issues I’ve been having with getting Pascal to show up for his Scallops, it’s also been super frustrating. I am still just getting into the swing of things though. I am not going to let anything keep me from trying to stay motivated at least for a full year. That’s more a challenge for myself than anything. I am very good at just dropping stuff whenever it stops being fulfilling. But I refuse to let that happen with Animal Crossing. It was the game of my childhood, and now that I am an adult I think focusing on it will give me a balance that I need to come out of my anxiety induced shell.

Anyways that’s all there is this week. I hope you all keep reading and always feel free to leave me feedback!

June 21st-27th

Sunday

June 21st, 2020

Right down to the Dirty Turnips, with 459,000 Bells in Pocket I went frantically looking for my friend Daisy Mae.

I always feel the heavy burden that comes with having to make multiple trips, I am paying out big and the Turnip prices weren’t that great for buying this time around. But I have bravery, perseverance, chutzpah!

For those who don’t know the rules you can find them here. For those who do, you know that 108 Bells means that I am only allowed to sell if the price is at least 216 Bells minimum. I have 4250 Turnips in my current possession. Hopefully I can make another big sale this week!

Noticed some great news on the Bulletin Board today! I’ll be able to participate in my very first bug-off soon! I’ll make sure it gets the hard work and dedication it deserves! (Hopefully my Real world job won’t interfere but we’ll see what happens).

After all was said and done I did what I always do and headed down to Harvey’s. Ready and able for today’s Wedding Season Event requirements.

I like the pictures more when they are doing some sort of emotion, even though I forget to do it often. Give the
