Look Book

Dress In Character

So this week I am changing it up again since I recently introduced some new characters to me island. These characters were created solely for the purpose of adding more people to enhance the story of Sirenity that I eventually want to write out. So this week we have 2 Outfits for each of our 4 Human Villagers that reside on the island. One look for their everyday around the island look, and another one that corresponds more towards one of the roles the might have in my story! I hope you enjoy!

Thirteen Everyday

Thirteen the character who plans to be the focal point and main character for the story of Sirenity. You’ll find that her everyday aesthetic changes from time to time. This time around however her Everyday look consists of: Lacy Shirt (Black), Gobelin Shorts (Pink?), Wide-Brim Straw Hat (White), Bottom Rimmed Glasses (Black), and Ribbon Sandals (Black).

Thirteen’s Role

I’ve done some versions of this kind of look before, a standard witchy look if you will. Although Thirteen will come to have many other very significant roles on the Island, this is the one that will have started it all. Thirteen originally a solitary witch living in a big city, get’s drawn into the island life by a strange vision calling her there. This iconic look consists of: Mysterious Dress (Purple), Mage’s Hat (Black), Octagonal Glasses (Purple), Flowery-dot Tights (Black), and Vinyl Round-toed Pumps (Black).

JJI Everyday

JJI, my other half, he’s mostly just along for the ride because he knows I want him to be. He rarely even finds the time to jump on the Island, but I appreciate him here nonetheless. As I can still utilize his character even when he isn’t playing! His Everyday outfit, reflective of his simple style, consists of: Chimeyo Vest (Blue), Athletic Pants (Black), Bobby Socks (Black), and Shower Sandals (Black).

JJI’s Role

As JJI himself requested it, his role on the Island is that of a Grumpy Old Man who lives at the top of the hill, on the outskirts of the Island. A hermit if you will, the kind of guy who would tell ‘whippersnappers’ to “Get off his lawn” so to speak. So his insistently grumpy look consists of: Collarless Shirt (Black), Chino Pants (Light Blue), Paperboy Cap (Brown), Everyday Socks (Grey), and Moccasins (Black).

Milo Everyday

Milo, one of the two newest additions to the Sirenity family. Brought in for the purpose of being able to add more characters and depth into my Sirenity story. His Everyday look consists of: Gilet and Shirt (Blue), Cargo Shorts (Brown), Tortoise Specs (Brown), Comfy Sandals (Brown), and a Hard Shell Backpack.

Milo’s Role

Milo’s role on the Island, is mostly aesthetic but at the end of the day he is what he is, a camper. I wanted my campsite to always look like at least someone was there visiting, so Milo is an Explorer who has taken up camp on the Island in hopes of finding new discoveries. Milo’s camper look consists of: Explorer’s Shirt (Blue), Multicolour Shorts (Blue), Explorer’s Hat (Blue), Round Shades (Black), Simple Accent Socks (Blue), Sporty Sandals (Beige), and Traveler’s Backpack.

Winter Everyday

The second of the newest Sirenity recruits, Winter is an interesting new addition. She was named Winter because JJI insisted because my name is Summer and literally suggest we use the name Winter for everything solely because of that. So I did it, whatever it’s just a name, and doesn’t change how her story will turn out. Winter’s everyday outfit consists of: Career Jacket (Pink), Corte Skirt (Pink), Do-Rag (Pink), Labelle Sunglasses (Red), Vivid Tights (Pink), Embroidered Shoes (Red), and Buttefly Backpack (Event).

Winter’s Role

Probably another familiar look to any avid viewers (the like 2 of you), but still an important one. Winter’s main role is the object of mystery for the Island. A Mermaid who lives in secret among the town. With her home hidden in the heart of the Island’s Labyrinth. The Princess of Sirenity’s waters, sent to the Island on a mysterious task. Winter’s mermaid look consists of: Tiara Hair (Wig), Shell Dress (Blue), Fishnet Tights (White), Shiny Bow Platform Shoes (White), and Shellfish Pochette.

Sirenity: Newsletter

Welcome To Sirenity

The First 20 Days:

It all started on Monday, May 4th, which was unfortunate since I am a huge fan of the Turnip market. Nonetheless even up to the minutes of it’s arrival New Horizons was something that was going to consume my life once again. I literally sat inside staring out my living room window for nearly two hours waiting for my console to arrive so I could start my journey. Once it arrived it was only an hour, from box open, downloads, updates, and finally to opening scenes that I finally got the opportunity to have some new and improved Animal Crossing playtime.

You’ll have to just trust me when I say I never restarted to get the airport colour that I wanted. It might help to say that I wanted green, but here I am with that orange gooey looking orange, that I guess it is starting to grow on me. I’ll be frank, I have no idea WHY I am so intent on having a time skip, reset free experience. Especially when it’s taken into consideration I did it ALL the time in every other version of the game I played. I digress… the airport is orange, that’s all fine and the two villagers I started the journey with are Iggy and Renée. Renée I have really grown to enjoy on my island, Iggy is just a wee bit too beady for me.

The timing also happened to be great enough that I got to participate in the May Day event! I definitely enjoyed the maze it only took me about 30 minutes to complete, I was probably only that quick because I watch a few Youtube & Twitch Streamers who play New Horizons, and have seen them complete the May Day event. (I don’t usually intentionally spoil myself but my switch actually arrived two days earlier than it was supposed to so I honestly didn’t think I’d get a chance.)

It was definitely a grind, the first week I felt like I was missing out on so much. I couldn’t access about three quarters of my island, and even grinding wasn’t getting it done fast enough because I had to wait overnight for just about everything. It’s my own fault for not wanting to time travel but all the way up until I got my ladder, I was stressing pretty hard. I found it a little hard to stay on task as I went on juggling finding plots of lands to place villagers, and then frantically spending all my Nook Miles flying to make sure I get villagers I can tolerate for now to live there. I missed the mark a couple times and a few randos moved in, Filbert, Mint, and Rasher. I managed to snipe some decent ones, Nana, Peggy, Vivian, and Reneigh. Then there was the mandatory campsite recruit… Klaus.

Yeah I know, how could I possibly have a problem with this dork. I honestly don’t know, just not my villager type, I waited for him to disappear. It wasn’t until I finally read online that I didn’t really have a choice in the matter that I caved and let the guy move his butt here. End of story.

In 20 days I managed to con my way to three stars and get my island a good old fashioned visit from K.K. Slider. Which would’ve been the peak of happiness for me but the peak got overtaken by this new magical ability I had been given. Terra-forming. I definitely went to town, I was no longer forcing myself to turn the game off whenever it needed to charge, instead I played plugged in only ever taking a few 15 minute breaks when it started getting hot. Then once I had my island at a general point of at least finally being able to freely move upon it without having to take something out of my pocket, I gave it a nice break. Took a Sunday, went in to check the mail and buy my turnips, located some fossils along the way, then called it all a day. I have been a lot more easy going with it ever since, but still it was a magnificent day.

Museum Day:

Gonna be honest here, day one yeah the stamp rally was super smashin’ but, it stays really only at that… day one. Now as someone with just some very minor obsessive tendencies, I have done the stamp rally. Every. Single. Day. Not to even sell them, nope I can’t even bring myself too, I donated one set to my other half Mr. JJI, and now the rest are gathering dust in my house storage while I wait to figure out what to do with them. There are so many, and the worst part is that it isn’t over, and I’m gonna keep doing it.

~~Here’s to the Future!~~

Bye for now~
